Helping Our Creative Friends Out

For many people, a one page resume with your personal accolades and work experience are sufficient enough to land you a job. For designers and other creative professionals, a portfolio is a must to show what type of work you are capable of. Monster, LinkedIn..these sites weren’t creative friendly. Now that has all changed though. Behance, a creative professional platform, has joined forces with LinkedIn and a new application called Creative Portfolio has been created. This app allows users to upload their portfolios right to their LinkedIn account. Making the transition easier, Behance users can sync their portfolios to LinkedIn and choose what pieces they would like to showcase.

This is such a great development that was long overdue. Behance is a well known site in the design world, but doesn’t have the wide range of users as LinkedIn does. LinkedIn is a very well known business community and now will gain even more popularity from the creatives of the workforce. It’s a win-win for everyone!

What do you think? Is Behance and LinkedIn a force to be reckoned with?
